Celebrate the joys of Spanish food and wine with Eat Spain Drink Spain
This annual showcase of Spain’s national cuisine is returning to the UK for a fourth year of culinary delights
Whether you’re already a lover of Spanish flavours or you’re simply curious to learn more about them, you’ll love Eat Spain Drink Spain. Running for two weeks from 16-30 September, this exciting nationwide event is brought to you by Foods and Wines from Spain to celebrate the finest Spanish food and drink that the UK has to offer.
This year, there’ll be up to 60 venues taking part across the country – from artisan food shops and delicatessens to wine merchants and restaurants. And they’ll all be offering a fortnight of exclusive promotions to help you enjoy an authentic taste of Spain on your doorstep.
What’s on?
Throughout Eat Spain Drink Spain, each venue will be spotlighting Spanish cuisine and produce in its own way, whether that’s through unique events, unmissable offers or specially curated menus.
So, you might find yourself sipping on a glass of fruity white albariño or rich red tempranillo in a wine bar, before tucking into a platter of ibérico ham and manchego cheese in a deli. Or perhaps you’ll end up sampling traditional dishes, such as patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns) and albondigas (meatballs), in a tapas restaurant. Whichever venue you visit, you can be sure there’ll be a delightful assortment of Spanish treats waiting for you to try.
This year’s partners stretch the length and breadth of the country, from Porta tapas bar in Chester and Edinburgh’s Port of Leith Distillery to The Bank at Bude tapas and cocktail bar in Cornwall and the central London-based 28°-50° tapas restaurants, to name but a few.
Stay up to date
New for this year, Eat Spain Drink Spain will now also feature an exclusive partnership with OpenTable, with a dedicated hub where you’ll find detailed information about participating restaurants and their offers. During the event, OpenTable will amplify these promotions, ensuring you don’t miss out on any of the Spanish culinary experiences near you.
