Asma Khan is the chef and owner of Darjeeling Express. She moved to Cambridge from Calcutta in 1991, and now resides in London with her husband and two boys. Asma’s acclaimed Darjeeling Express, once a supper club serving just 12 people at a time, is now a full-sized restaurant in London. Its all-female kitchen staff creates dishes inspired by the street food of Calcutta, where Asma grew up, with some influence from her royal Mughal ancestry.
