Janine Ratcliffe

Janine Ratcliffe is olive magazine’s deputy editor and has worked on the magazine since its launch. Since then she has developed and written thousands of the magazine’s most popular recipes as well as editing the olive 101 series of books for Penguin. Janine is the host of the weekly olive magazine podcast and has also created many of the viral olive recipe videos for social media and You Tube. After gaining a degree in Fine Art and an MA in Film Studies Janine went on to work at The Guardian for 5 years as Production Manager on the Guardian Weekly. Janine left the Guardian to study for the 1 year Diploma at Leith's School of Food and Wine. Whilst at Leith's, she won the Good Food Scholarship and spent 6 months working at Good Food magazine. Janine left the magazine to become a freelance home economist and food writer working on various projects including books, magazines, advertising and TV. Janine joined olive magazine full time in 2004.
