Laura Rowe

Laura Rowe joined the olive magazine family as editor in 2015. In the same year she published her debut book, the now internationally acclaimed, Taste: The Infographic Book of Food. Having worked as a journalist in the UK for more than a decade, Laura started in local publishing where she was eventually to edit five freemium lifestyle magazines, before specialising in food. She’s written for the Guardian and lovefood.com, among others, and edited regional food magazine Crumbs, which was named the Guild of Food Writers Food Magazine of the Year during her tenure. She’s also worked behind the scenes writing, editing, testing and styling numerous best-selling cookery books. In 2017 she was named a FIPP Rising Star, and food and drink editor of the year by the BSME in 2018. Laura lives in East London, has a phobia of baked beans and is addicted to gin (in dirty martinis, negronis, and with Schweppes tonic, if you’re asking). With a family tree extending to India, Laura will often be found seeking out the best Indian restaurants in the UK.
