What is jackfruit?
Jackfruit is a large fruit that originates in Asia. The flesh of the fruit is sold fresh or tinned. As well as being eaten raw, the young fruit can be cooked and can be used as an alternative to meat in vegan recipes, mimicking the texture of pulled pork, for instance.
