These oaty flapjack bars are sticky with golden syrup and brown sugar. Serve them up with a cup of tea or pack into lunch boxes for an energy hit

- 150g butter
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 200g plain flour
- 200g oats

Method
step 1
Pre-heat oven at 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Melt the sugar, butter, syrup and bicarb in a pan. Then add the flour and oats. Spread into a dish and bake for 20-30 mins, until golden.
