  • 1 tbsp soft light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
    softened
  • small pinch each of ground cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice
  • 50ml dark or golden rum
  • cinnamon stick
    to garnish

    Method

    • step 1

      Put the sugar, butter and spices in the bottom of a heatproof glass mug and mix together. Pour in the rum followed by enough just-boiled water to top up. Mix well and serve with a cinnamon stick.
