  • 4 tbsp pomegranate molasses
  • 2 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 200ml tequila
  • 100ml triple sec
  • 75ml lime juice
    (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tbsp sugar syrup

    Method

    • step 1

      Put 1 tbsp of the molasses onto a shallow plate and tilt to cover the base of the plate. Combine the salt and sugar, and tip this onto another shallow plate. Dip the rims of four tumbler glasses in the pomegranate molasses, then the salt and sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.

    • step 2

      Pour the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar syrup and remaining molasses into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice and shake until the outside of the shaker feels really cold.

    • step 3

      Fill the prepared tumblers with ice cubes, then pour in the cocktail.
