How to make prawns pil pil... step-by-step video

  • 4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 180g pack peeled raw king prawns
  • 4 cloves garlic
    thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • a handful flat-leaf parsley
    chopped
  • ½ lemon
    wedged to serve
  • crusty bread

Method

  • step 1

    Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and cook the prawns and garlic for 3 minutes until the prawns have turned pink. Add the paprika, chilli flakes and a good pinch of salt, and cook for another minute. Remove from the heat and scatter over the parsley.

  • step 2

    Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread for mopping up the oil.
