- 1 large oniongrated
- a good pinch dried chilli flakes
- 2 tsp fennel seedstoasted and crushed slightly
- for frying oil
- 1 applegrated
- 100g fresh breadcrumbs
- 6 herby pork sausagesskins removed
Method
step 1
Heat the oven to 200c/fan 180c/gas 6. Fry the onion, chilli and fennel in a little oil until the onion is softened.
step 2
Cool a little, then mix with the apple, breadcrumbs and sausagemeat. Season well, pile into an ovenproof dish and rough up the surface with the back of a fork.
step 3
Cook for 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and crusty.
