Ingredients

  • 100ml cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp golden caster sugar
  • 1 dried red chilli, crumbled
  • 1 large pear, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 100g stilton
  • 20g butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp (optional) port
  • 2 large or 4 small slices Bread, toasted

Method

  • STEP 1

    Bring the vinegar, sugar and chilli to a boil, bubble for 1 minute. Pour over the pear slices and cool. Mash the stilton with the butter and port. Spread on the toast and grill until browned. Serve with the pears.
