- butter
- 1 tbsp unrefined demerera sugar
- 3 peeled apples, cored and cut into wedges
- 3 tbsp calvados
- 4 ready-made crêpes, buy from larger supermarkets
- to serve extra-thick cream or vanilla ice cream
- warmed to serve dulce de leche or other toffee sauce
Method
- STEP 1
Melt a knob of butter with the sugar in a frying pan. Add the apple wedges and cook until golden and tender. Add the calvados and either flambé or bubble away for 2-3 minutes.
- STEP 2
Warm the crêpes, divide the apple mix between them and fold in quarters. Serve 1 or 2 crêpes (depending on size) with a dollop of cream and a drizzle of toffee sauce.
