Great-value Michelin lunch menu
Many chefs we spoke to recommended the Bar Express Lunch at Michelin-starred modern Italian restaurant, Luca, in Clerkenwell. The menu is served from midday until 2pm and comes in at a reasonable (remember it's got a Michelin star!) £32 for two courses and £38 for starter, main and dessert.
Here we started with the Jerusalem artichoke dish with cauliflower mushrooms and tropea onion, but the star of the show was the braised Hereford beef, smoked potatoes, winter mushrooms and roscoff onions.
