Cosori 9-in-1 electric 5.7L multi-cooker summary
There are few kitchen appliances that are able to offer the range of versatility of a multi-cooker. While it might lack some of the bells and whistles you see in pricier models, this offering from Cosori performs a wide range of functions to a high standard at great value for money.
The sleek stainless steel body and handle means it instantly looks impressive and is attractive enough to earn a permanent place on your kitchen countertop. And the number of dishes you can cook means it’ll more than earn its keep.

There are 12 settings to choose from such as pressure cook, slow cook, sauté and sous vide, as well as preset functions that include porridge, stew, grains and even cake. The robust interface means choosing a setting is easy, plus there are options to customise timings and temperature for the majority of settings.
How easy is the Cosori 9-in-1 electric 5.7L multi-cooker to use?
All that’s required to assemble the Cosori 9-in-1 cooker is to insert the inner pod and secure the lid. It comes with a number of accessories to aid the different cooking functions including a steamer basket, rice paddle and scoop.
One of the things we loved about this multi-cooker was how user-friendly it was. It comes with a manual, recipe book and quick-start guide which has step-by-step instructions on how to use the machine. We followed these to do the recommended pressure-cooking test using water, which got us used to releasing the pressure valve and helped assuage any fears — a good amount of space between the valve and the release buttons means your hand is safe from any spitting or steam.
While the control panel may look less sleek than a touchscreen, we found the buttons intuitive with a light to indicate which function you’ve selected. It also ensures there’s no room for error if you’ve got anything on your hands as can occur with screens. The display indicates the cooking time you’ve selected, with a countdown showing how long you’ve got left.
Results
We used the sauté function to cook the flavour base of onion, carrots and celery (known as mirepoix) for our beef stew. There’s a choice of low, high or customisable temperatures and we used the high setting for 10 minutes which resulted in evenly softened vegetables. The cooked stew had a thick, rich sauce with tender meat and vegetables which retained a satisfying level of bite.
Our chicken korma had a creamy sauce, and we were impressed that the chicken retained so much moisture and was succulent with well-balanced spice.
olive’s take: should you buy the Cosori 9-in-1 electric 5.7L multi-cooker?
A no-nonsense functionality coupled with a sleek look makes this multi-cooker great value, especially considering many other models are well over the £100 mark. Although some advanced cooking settings like air-frying are notably absent, Cosori covers the basics well. You might need to factor in extra minutes for the preheating function, but you’ll undoubtedly save cooking time overall as the pressure cooker does the hard work for you.
