Flair Signature espresso maker review summary
Made of two well-finished moulded metal parts, the Flair is a simple but elegant bit of kit, accompanied by a branded chess-piece style tamper and quality pressure-gauge. It’s not the easiest machine to read or figure out, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll find it simple to use. The build is brilliantly executed and available in a range of colours.

What is the Flair Signature espresso maker like to use?
The two main components make for incredibly simple use. You load the filter with coffee, add boiling water, put in place and press the lever down to manually add pressure for espresso extraction.
You can experiment with results thanks to a pressure gauge, controlled by the lever. Cleaning-wise, the simple two-part construction offers zero hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.
Like other manual espresso makers, the Flair requires preheating, but is a nice option for sustainability, not requiring electricity. Its supremely small footprint also makes it usefully portable.
olive’s take: should you buy the Flair Signature espresso maker?
As the name suggests, flair is an integral part of the design. If you’re looking for a manual espresso maker to boost your kitchen whilst also offering a more sustainable solution to high-wattage espresso makers, this is a great option.
