What colour is Le Creuset Flamme Dorée?

Le Creuset's new limited edition colour, Flamme Dorée is a twist on the classic Volcanic, a bright orange. Flamme Dorée means golden flame, which is reflected in the shimmering golden hue given to this limited edition set. This is achieved by adding an innovative third layer of enamel to the cast iron containing minerals which catch the light.

The Flamme Dorée range also features a reimagined crucible knob with a golden hue. It contains a subtle nod to the brands' three rings logo and gives the casserole dish a luxe golden feel.

What we love about this new colour is it's subtle enough to fit in with the classics, while also being the star of the show. It would look beautiful on the table to serve from, and would pop alongside other classic shades like the original Volcanic, or neutrals like Meringue.

What products are available in the new Le Creuset colour Flamme Dorée?

Flamme Dorée is available in a limited number of Le Creuset's most iconic cast iron cookware products. The Cast Iron Round Casserole is arguable the brands best known product, and you can get the Flamme Dorée colour in three sizes.

The Cast Iron Round Casserole in 20cm is the smallest size on offer, available for £289. Perfect for deep frying thanks to the high sides, we also love the size for making soups for up to three people, as well as baking small loaves of bread. It is also available in the middle size of 24cm for £359 which has a 4.2-litre capacity, ideal for cooking for groups of five-six people. The largest size on offer is the Cast Iron Round Casserole in 28cm, costing £439.

There's also the Cast Iron Shallow Casserole in 30cm, which costs £359, which is brilliant for cooking risottos thanks to the high surface area to volume ratio.

The final product is the Cast Iron Oval Casserole in 29cm, costing £389, perfect for cooking larger stews as well as roast chickens.
